Prepare for an online lesson

A few checks before the lesson leave more attention for learning.

Check the space and sound

Choose a place where the child can hear and be heard. Position the screen so they can look at the teacher and the material comfortably. Test the microphone and speaker before the first session; an adult can help solve setup issues without making them the child's responsibility.

Online sessions are one-to-one through Zoom or Google Meet and last one hour. Use a device and connection that work with the agreed platform, and confirm the actual joining instructions with the teacher. Do not share meeting links or identifying child information in a public form.

  • A quiet space and comfortable seat
  • Working microphone and speaker
  • A readable screen
  • The agreed learning material nearby

Check the date as well as the time

Online lessons can connect people in different time zones. Confirm your selected zone and read the local date before a session. Daylight-saving changes can alter how two places align during the year.

The booking test demo shows fictional times in a selected time zone. Its slots do not represent actual teacher availability; confirm real dates and time zones directly.

Have an adult available

Plan for a parent or guardian to help a child join, open the right page and handle any connection problem. The final supervision policy will specify expectations; it still needs approval.

If a family needs to cancel, give at least 24 hours’ notice before the lesson start; a cancellation with less notice is nonrefundable. Timely-cancellation refunds, rescheduling, no-shows and connection-failure treatment still need approval before any real payment.
